Marcel Ciolacu is leading the partial elections in Buzău after the centralization of over half of the votes.

The PSD candidate for the presidency of the Buzău County Council, Marcel Ciolacu, is leading with over 53% of the votes after the centralization of 57.78% of the minutes. The following places are occupied by the AUR candidates and the one supported by USR–PNL. At the beginning of the counting, with only 10.61% of the minutes, PSD had 51.9%, followed by AUR with 30.89%, the latter dominating in several localities.

Voter turnout in the county exceeded 24%, with 87,638 participants. The elections on Sunday also targeted mayoral positions in several localities across the country. The polling stations opened at 07:00, and Ciolacu, a former prime minister, was the main candidate for this position. This victory marks his return to local politics, thus strengthening PSD's influence in Buzău County.
