A man from Cluj-Napoca was sentenced to 2 years and 11 months of suspended prison for terrorizing his former girlfriend through a banking application. According to investigators, he sent small amounts of money, accompanied by threats and insulting messages, violating a protection order that prohibited him from contacting the woman.

For a year, the victim was subjected to constant psychological pressure, being stalked and blackmailed. The man tried to force her to resume the relationship, threatening to publish intimate images, despite the fact that she was wearing an electronic surveillance bracelet. In front of the court, he admitted his actions, and in addition to the suspended sentence, the court ordered him to pay 8,000 euros in moral damages and to perform 90 days of community service.
