A 59-year-old man from Giurgiu, missing for two days, has been found dead in a septic tank. There are suspicions of murder.

A 59-year-old man from the commune of Bălănoaia, Giurgiu County, was declared missing on November 4. After two days of searching, the police discovered his body in a decommissioned septic tank, at a depth of three meters, on the site of a former agricultural cooperative where his brother is sheltered. Initially, it was suspected that the man might have drowned in a puddle, but the searches were unsuccessful in that area.

Now, the authorities are investigating the circumstances of the death, having suspicions that the man did not accidentally end up in the septic tank. A criminal case for murder has been opened, and the autopsy will determine the cause of death and whether there are signs of violence on the victim's body.
