35-year-old man, in the custody of the Timiș Police for violating the arms and ammunition regime

A 35-year-old man from Timiș County was detained for 24 hours by the police, following searches conducted on February 27, in the localities of Ciacova and Lenauheim. He is being investigated for violating the weapons and ammunition regime, considering that he allegedly possessed an illegal lethal hunting weapon and 16 cartridges, abandoned on a plot of land between Ciacova and Ghilad.

During the searches, the police discovered and seized 14 live cartridges with unstruck bullets and 36 live unstruck cartridges. The man, who is also a suspect in a poaching case, has been placed in the Center for Detention and Preventive Arrest. The police actions were supported by several units, including the Criminalistics Service and the Timiș Special Actions Service.
