A 46-year-old man from Piatra-Neamț has been placed in preventive detention for the kidnapping and assault of his wife for two days. The victim managed to call for help.

A 46-year-old man from Piatra-Neamț was arrested preventively after allegedly kidnapping and assaulting his 44-year-old wife for two days. The incident was reported on Monday by the Neamț County Police Inspectorate. The victim managed to escape from the apartment and took refuge in a makeup salon, where she requested help. The police intervened quickly, identifying the woman, who was transported to the hospital for medical care.

The man was later found in traffic, in the town of Bicaz, and was taken to the Piatra-Neamț Police headquarters for questioning. Initially detained for 24 hours, he was presented to the court, which decided on preventive arrest for 30 days. The investigation continues to establish all the circumstances of the case, with a criminal file opened for domestic violence and deprivation of liberty.
