A 65-year-old man from the town of Târgu Cărbunești, Gorj County, was detained by the police from the Animal Protection Office after he killed two kittens. The incident occurred last week when the man put the animals in a bag, tying it to a rock, which he then submerged in a container of water. The police launched an investigation, and the inquiries confirmed the act. The bodies of the two kittens were found and transported to D.S.V.S.A. Gorj for necropsy, in order to determine the cause of death. The man was detained for 24 hours and taken to the Gorj Police Inspectorate's Detention and Preventive Arrest Center. The investigation continues under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Târgu Cărbunești Court.
