A man from Galați was arrested after he killed his brother following a violent altercation. The victim died two weeks after hospitalization.

The conflict between the two brothers took place on August 15, 2025, in their shared residence, where the man struck his brother with his fists and a stick, causing him serious injuries. The victim died in the hospital on August 28. Prosecutors in Galați opened an investigation, and on September 12, the defendant was placed in preventive detention for murder, being accused of the act committed against a family member.
