A man was arrested in Mamaia for trafficking one kilogram of cocaine

A 38-year-old man was arrested by Constanța police after being caught in the act in Mamaia resort while transacting one kilogram of cocaine, a high-risk drug. The criminal activity was documented by the Organized Crime Fighting Brigade (BCCO) Constanța, in collaboration with DIICOT prosecutors - Territorial Service Constanța.

The incident took place on June 16, 2026, and the man is being investigated for continuous high-risk drug trafficking. Previously, in May 2026, he allegedly possessed and offered another quantity of cocaine for free in Constanța County.

The police carried out three home search warrants in Cluj and Constanța counties, where relevant evidence was seized. DIICOT prosecutors ordered the man's detention for 24 hours, and the Constanța Tribunal was notified with a proposal for preventive arrest for 30 days. The searches were supported by BCCO Cluj-Napoca police and gendarmes from both counties.
