A 31-year-old man from Costinești has been remanded in custody for 30 days after he assaulted his ex-girlfriend in violation of a protection order. The incident took place on July 22, when police received a report that the man entered the victim's home and assaulted her. Although the woman reported the assault and obtained an order of protection, she refused to electronically monitor the abuser. The man was detained and subsequently arrested by the court for domestic violence and deprivation of liberty.
