A man has been placed in preventive detention for domestic violence, accused of hitting his partner with a machete, causing her serious injuries.

The incident took place on August 22, in a shared apartment in sector 5 of the Capital, where the man attacked his partner, causing injuries that require approximately two weeks of treatment. On September 1, four witnesses were heard and are being investigated for false testimony, claiming that they did not know about the aggression. The man was placed in preventive custody for 30 days, and three of the witnesses were placed under judicial control for 60 days. Investigations are ongoing.
