MAE informs that until August 23, the Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Marche regions of Italy are facing extreme weather and severe flooding. Heavy rainfall has rapidly increased the level of rivers, creating the risk of floods and landslides. The affected regions include areas in the province of Livorno and the provinces of Pisa and Grosseto in Tuscany, as well as several provinces in Emilia-Romagna and Marche. Local authorities recommend avoiding non-essential travel and consulting the Civil Protection website for up-to-date information. Romanian citizens can request consular assistance on the telephone numbers of the Consulate General of Romania in Bologna.
