The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andrei Ţărnea, stated that approximately 14,000 Romanian citizens, including tourists, residents, and transit persons, are under the attention of the Crisis Cell within the MFA, due to the conflict in the Middle East. So far, 1,500 Romanians have been repatriated, of which 1,000 with the help of Romanian authorities and 500 through their own means. Ţărnea emphasized that there are 400 priority cases in the United Arab Emirates, mostly in Dubai, but also in other regions, such as Qatar. The Ministry continues to collaborate with consular services to ensure the safety of Romanian citizens.
