The Union of Public Functionaries will start an indefinite protest on September 1, 2025, in response to government reforms deemed abusive. The protest targets staff reductions in local administrations, the introduction of part-time work, and disproportionate penalties for public officials. The union members demand reform measures that do not affect rank-and-file employees and call for solidarity from other organizations and citizens.
