The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced that holders of driving licenses can now check their traffic violation history and accumulated penalty points directly from their personal account, 24 hours a day, on the digital platform Hub MAI. This service addresses a concrete need of citizens, providing easy access to essential information and reducing pressure on the counters.
So far, the platform has recorded over 51.6 million accesses, of which 226,269 were for requesting the traffic record. According to legislation, accumulating 15 penalty points in the last six months leads to the suspension of the right to drive for 30 days. Users can check the penalty points by accessing the 'Drivers and Vehicles' section and selecting 'Traffic Violation History'. This functionality reflects active violations of traffic regulations, according to O.M.A.I. no. 141/2014.
