Alexandru Bâlcu, leader of the neolegionary organization Noua Dreaptă, has been sent to trial for affixing fascist symbols on the doors of a synagogue. The Sector 1 Court sentenced him to one year in prison with a suspended sentence, which can be appealed. Bâlcu was found guilty of offenses related to the dissemination of fascist symbols and was required to participate in a social reintegration program during the supervision period.
