In the commune of Bisoca, an old landslide has been reactivated due to heavy rainfall, and initial checks indicate that a drainage system installed by the contractor contributes to the instability of the land. Thousands of cubic meters of soil have shifted over a stretch of approximately 150 meters, and locals are worried that the county road could collapse, thus isolating the community from other localities.
Over 1,700 residents from seven villages risk being left without access, given that county road 204C has been under rehabilitation since 2018, with extended reception deadlines due to irregularities. Similar problems have also been reported in the communes of Vintilă-Vodă, Calvini, and Blăjani, where local roads have been affected, but without significant damage to households. In Brașov, large chunks of rock have detached in the area of Pietrele lui Solomon, damaging a bus stop and blocking a hiking trail, and mountain rescuers have intervened to remove over 20 tons of stone. Traffic in the area has been restricted to ensure safety.
