At the end of last week, a landslide affected the roadway at the entrance to the municipality of Câmpina, from DN1 and the locality of Cornu. The situation has worsened, and the roadbed has collapsed, prompting the authorities to impose emergency measures for traffic safety. Access has been restricted on one side of the road, and heavy traffic has been limited by weight restrictions. Local authorities intend to request central support for stabilizing the area and restoring the affected infrastructure. The Câmpina City Hall mentioned that the problem is an old one, with five official addresses sent in 2025 for remedying the situation. This incident is the third landslide in the area in a short period, following two other similar events on DN1, in the localities of Comarnic and Cornu.
