The Day of the National Anthem of Romania will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 29, through military ceremonies organized in all garrisons across the country.

In Bucharest, the activity dedicated to this event will take place starting at 10:00 AM, in the Tricolor Square, located in front of the National Military Circle Palace. The program will include a religious service, a presentation of the significance and symbolism of the anthem's lyrics, as well as a concert performed by the Representative Music of the Ministry of National Defense.

The Day of the National Anthem was proclaimed by Law no. 99/1998 and is celebrated annually on July 29.

The anthem "Awaken thee, Romanian!" was composed by Anton Pann, and the lyrics were written by the poet Andrei Mureșanu.
