Laurențiu Beșu, a judge known for his revelations about corruption in the judicial system, will become a prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office next to the Giurgiu Court, according to the decision made by the Section for Prosecutors of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM). This proposal was submitted to President Nicușor Dan, and Beșu was released from his position as a judge at the Bucharest Tribunal at his request. Beșu stated that the decision to change positions was personal, without external influences, mentioning that it is a moment of change in his life.

The judge became a public figure after his appearance in the Recorder documentary, where he discussed methods of influencing judges, including his transfer from the Giurgiu Tribunal to the Bucharest Court of Appeal. Raluca Moroșanu, a judge at the Bucharest Court of Appeal, supported Beșu's statements, describing the work atmosphere as toxic. The president of CAB, Liana Arsenie, called for an investigation into the accusations made by Beșu, emphasizing that the problems in the judicial system are systemic, not isolated. This situation generated a letter of support from several judges and prosecutors, including Laura Codruța Kovesi.
