Prosecutor Radu George Bucurică has been suspended from office by the Superior Council of Magistracy.

Prosecutor Radu George Bucurică, from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Caraș-Severin Tribunal, has been suspended from office by the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM), starting from August 28, following a disciplinary case initiated by the Judicial Inspection.

The suspension is valid until the final resolution of the disciplinary procedure.

The prosecutor is being investigated for violating the weapons and ammunition regime, disturbing public order, and two offenses of outrage, the incident occurring on the night of August 8 to 9, in a venue in Ribița, Hunedoara. Bucurică was detained after being found with a pistol, a knife, and an irritant spray, despite his firearm carry permit having been revoked. After the arrest warrant was issued, he was placed on the wanted list and caught in Ilfov County.
