Inspectors discovered irregularities in heating assistance in Horgești, with 40 families having unoccupied properties and 42 having left for abroad.

The Agency for Payments and Social Inspection conducted a control in the commune of Horgești, where 108 families receiving heating assistance were checked. Of these, 40 families were receiving assistance for properties that were uninhabitable, having inadequate conditions (without heating sources, unfinished or without windows/doors). Additionally, 42 families were reported to be abroad, according to statements from relatives or neighbors.

As a result of these findings, measures were taken to recover the amounts granted improperly and to reanalyze the heating assistance files for the winter season 2025-2026. The control was requested by prefect Andreea Negru, following some complaints, and in the commune of Horgești, there are 1,107 files registered for this type of support.
