Vulnerable people can submit applications starting in October for heating assistance for the 2026–2027 cold season and for the energy supplement, the National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection (ANPIS) reports. Heating assistance is provided from November 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, while the energy supplement is granted monthly throughout the year.
The support is intended for families and single people who use centralized heating, electricity, natural gas, or solid and/or petroleum fuels. Assistance is granted for a single heating system—the primary system used in the home.
Monthly net income must not exceed 1,386 lei per family member or 2,053 lei for single people. Applicants must also not own goods or properties that disqualify them from receiving the support.
The monthly supplement is 30 lei for electricity, 10 lei for natural gas, 10 lei for thermal energy, and 20 lei for solid or petroleum fuels. If electricity is the only energy source used, the amount reaches 70 lei per month.
Applications and declarations on one’s own responsibility are submitted to the local authority responsible for the residence. For centralized heating, gas, and electricity, the support is deducted directly from the bill. In the case of solid or petroleum fuels, the money for the cold season is provided in a single installment, in December.
