Ion Cristoiu has harshly commented on the consultations called by Nicușor Dan to appoint a new prime minister, considering them a comedy and a 'false application of the Constitution'. He points out that although the consultations are supposed to be a serious process, in reality, the government is already formed and the president has only summoned certain pro-European parties. Cristoiu accuses the consultations of being a mere formality, noting that Nicușor Dan is mocking the spirit of the Constitution.
