The selection process for the leadership of the ICCJ Prosecutor's Office, DNA, and DIICOT concludes on Thursday, with interviews for the position of deputy chief prosecutor of DIICOT. Among the five candidates is Alex Florența, the current general prosecutor.
In total, 19 candidates have registered for the leadership positions, and the interviews took place throughout the week. On Monday, candidates for the position of general prosecutor and deputy of DNA were interviewed, while on Tuesday and Wednesday, candidates for the leadership of DNA and DIICOT were interviewed.
The results will be published on March 2, and the proposals will be submitted to the President of Romania for the final decision. The Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, emphasized the importance of transparency and competition in this process. President Nicușor Dan expressed optimism regarding the candidates, appreciating that they are the right people to energize the work of the prosecutor's offices.
