Insurers in Romania paid, in 2025, compensation based on life insurance policies of over 421 million euros, an increase of 12% compared to 2024. On average, over 1.15 million euros reached Romanians every day who chose to take measures to protect their own financial stability and that of their families, reports the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Romania (UNSAR).

This development confirms that more and more Romanians are choosing to think ahead about their financial future and that of their families by taking out life insurance.
