The general mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, announced that the works for the installation of the tram track under the Constanța Bridge have begun, part of lot 4 of a larger project of 6.7 kilometers.

This includes important streets such as Bd. Mihalache and Calea Griviței. Ciucu emphasized that the works are prioritized due to the intense traffic in the area, where traffic is restricted to a single lane in each direction. The mayor mentioned that most of the works are in the excavation and replacement of underground networks stage, but the area under the Constanța Bridge has the most advanced works. Workers are working intensively, including at night and on weekends, to complete the construction site by the beginning of the school year, thus ensuring traffic flow on two lanes in each direction. Additionally, works are also ongoing on Bd. 1 Decembrie and Bd. Basarabia.
