Following the crash of a Boeing 787 in Ahmedabad, which killed 270 people, the Indian government has ordered an urgent inspection of all Boeing 787 aircraft. The regulator has asked Air India to carry out additional checks on its airplanes and to extensively monitor its fleet of 34 787 aircraft. Although no decision has been taken to suspend their use, all possible causes of the crash, including problems with the landing gear, are being investigated. Only one passenger survived the tragedy.
