The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, declared on Wednesday that all illegally placed sunbeds on beaches will be removed, emphasizing that areas where there were no permits for their arrangement have already been cleared.

Last year, numerous controversies were recorded regarding companies that placed sunbeds on beaches without renting them, and the authorities did not act in a timely manner to remove them or impose fines. Buzoianu mentioned that economic operators who acted illegally have been identified and assured that this year order will be restored on the coast. She highlighted that operators who follow the rules and invest in beach rentals should not compete with those who do not pay taxes and place sunbeds without authorization.
