The President of Hungary, Tamas Sulyok, arrived in Praid to show his support to the residents affected by the recent floods which inundated the local salt works. During his visit, he spoke with Mayor Nyágrus László Nyágrus and thanked the Ecumenical Relief Organization for its support. Mr. Sulyok stressed the importance of national solidarity and aid in these difficult times, underlining that the suffering of the community is felt throughout Hungary. The situation remains critical, with the salt works flooded and evacuations ongoing.
