The Competition Council announced that it is analyzing the transaction through which the Hungarian group Bonafarm Zrt intends to acquire FrieslandCampina Romania Holding B.V. and, implicitly, the company FrieslandCampina Romania S.A., the owner of the Napolact brand. The competition authority's role is to verify whether this acquisition complies with the current legislation and whether it does not distort the competitive environment in the dairy market in Romania. At the end of the evaluation, the Council will decide whether to authorize the transaction, according to legal procedures and deadlines.
