The National Salvamont Dispatch has made a humanitarian appeal for Ștefan Geană, a 30-year-old rescuer from Sinaia, diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. The necessary intervention cannot be performed within the Romanian state medical system, and without urgent surgery, his chances of survival are minimal.
Sabin Cornoiu, the head of Salvamont, emphasized the importance of community support, stating that any contribution can make a difference. The costs for treatment exceed 10,000 euros, and the appeal is an opportunity to help a rescuer who has saved many lives in the mountains. Donations can be made through the official Salvamont Romania platform, and sharing the appeal can help attract additional support.
