A macabre discovery was made in Ploiești, where authorities found a human skeleton in an apartment. The remains belong to a 68-year-old woman, who had not been seen by neighbors since the pandemic.

Alerted by one of the woman's children, a fire crew broke down the door of the apartment located on the 2nd floor, thus discovering the skeleton. The building administrator stated that the woman suffered from cancer and had not had contact with anyone for 4-5 years. It is believed that the death occurred approximately four years ago, and investigations continue to determine the cause of death. The remains were taken by the Forensic Medicine Service.
