Hubert Thuma, the leader of the Ilfov County Council, reacted to the statements of the general mayor of the Capital, who complained about funds for metropolitan transport. Thuma emphasizes that metropolitan transport is essential for Bucharest and Ilfov, requiring a common vision. He requested the allocation of 5% of Bucharest's income tax to Ilfov, arguing that the county has over a million residents who need infrastructure and services.

Thuma highlighted that Ilfov residents contribute significantly to the Capital's budget but receive very little in return.

He also announced the intention to organize a referendum regarding the disposal of waste from Bucharest in Ilfov and mentioned the possibility of halting the issuance of building permits until a fair relationship is established between the two regions.
