Approximately 27% of the buildings in Bucharest connected to the Termoenergetica network are facing inadequate supply, and nearly 13% had their supply interrupted this morning, according to the TermoAlert application. The problems were caused by an explosion and a fire that occurred at the CET Bucharest Vest last night, which led to the shutdown of the plant.

In total, 235 buildings in sector 1, 727 in sector 5, and 1,307 in sector 6 are affected, and the supply is expected to be restored today at 6:00 PM. The fire broke out at two electrical transformers that used oil as a cooling agent. Elcen announced that technical maneuvers are being carried out to take over consumers from CET Grozăvești, ensuring the continuity of hot water supply and maintaining safety in operation.
