The Hidroelectrica Company has signed a contract for the implementation of the project 'Photovoltaic Park Țara Hațegului', an important step in diversifying its production portfolio. The contract, worth over 24.4 million lei excluding VAT, was won by the association of Electro-Alfa International SA and General ME.EL Electrica SRL, after an open tender in which four bids participated. The project will have an installed capacity of 8.9 MWp and an estimated average production of 11 GWh/year. The investment will contribute to increasing the production capacity from renewable sources and to reducing carbon emissions, thus supporting national and European energy transition objectives. The CEO of Hidroelectrica, Bogdan Badea, emphasized the company's commitment to investing in modern green energy capacities. The project will include all necessary stages, from design to commissioning, with a total duration of 12 months. Hidroelectrica, the largest producer of energy from renewable sources in Romania, continues to strengthen its position in the energy market in Southeast Europe.
