A batch of 150 g of salad with herring roe is being recalled from Penny stores due to the presence of Listeria Monocytogenes.

The manufacturer NEGRO 2000 SRL has initiated a voluntary recall of the product "GRAN MARE SALAD WITH HERRING CAVIAR 150G", available in Penny stores, after the presence of the bacterium Listeria Monocytogenes was detected.

According to the announcement posted on the ANSVSA website, the affected batch has the number 981 and an expiration date of 18.05.2026. Rewe Romania, the company that owns the Penny store chain, has decided to withdraw the product for food safety reasons and recommends customers not to consume the salad, but to return it to any Penny store.

The refund will be made without the need to present the receipt. This measure is taken to protect consumer health.
