The driver who caused a fatal accident in Brașov around 9:00 PM on Tuesday, after losing control of the car, would have been considered a hero in the past, after saving a tourist from drowning. Additionally, according to initial information after the tragic accident, the 50-year-old driver may have suffered an epileptic seizure at the moment he lost control of the car.

The man reportedly lost control of the car on Mureșenilor Street on Tuesday evening, and the vehicle ended up on the sidewalk, hitting three tourists.

Two of them died, a 34-year-old German tourist and a 26-year-old young man from Piatra Neamț, while the third victim, a 31-year-old German citizen, is in serious condition in the hospital.

According to initial information, the driver may have suffered an epileptic seizure, and the police are investigating this possibility. In the past, the man had been considered a hero, saving a tourist from drowning on the Romanian coast, but now his name is associated with this tragedy. Tests for alcohol and drugs were negative, and investigators continue to determine the circumstances of the accident.
