The fire occurred in a block of flats under construction on Daniel Danielopolu Street. The fire brigade intervened with 8 fire engines, 2 ladder trucks, 1 rescue truck and 1 SMURD crew. There were also reports of heavy smoke and the air became unbearable in the area around the Press House.
