A gynecologist doctor from Giurgiu County Hospital was caught red-handed while taking bribes. The doctor allegedly demanded 900 lei for a caesarean section operation.

The doctor demanded the amount from the relative of a patient who was to be operated on, 700 lei for herself and 200 lei for other people in the Gynecology ward of the hospital. Police officers organized a flagrant raid and the doctor was caught taking the bribe. The hospital management said no complaint has been registered against the doctor so far.
