The Ghiseul.ro platform, intended for online payment of taxes and fees, has once again encountered major access issues, with users reporting HTTP 500 errors and the inability to make payments. Additionally, ANAF and local authorities cannot enter new data into the system, which blocks automated communication between institutions.

Sources indicate that a cyber attack may be responsible for these malfunctions, and the Authority for the Digitalization of Romania has convened an emergency technical meeting to find solutions. Furthermore, many Romanians have complained about frequent changes to the amounts for taxes for 2026, generating dissatisfaction and public scandal, especially in Sector 2 of the Capital.
