Ghioroc Beach, nicknamed 'The Western Coast', will officially open for tourists on May 30, with new features such as an inflatable playground on the water surface. The mayor of Ghioroc, Corneliu Popi-Morodan, announced that the beach is already prepared for visitors, who can enjoy free access until the official opening. The parking fee of 10 lei, unchanged in the last five years, will be applied from May 30. This season, the beach has been enhanced with palm trees and oleanders, and the sand has been renewed.
Additionally, campsites for cabins and caravans are already open. The 'Ghioroc Summer Fest' festival, scheduled between June 27 and September 6, will include parties with DJs and fun activities. Last year, the beach attracted approximately 100,000 visitors, a decrease compared to previous years, but the mayor remains optimistic about the summer season, considering that Ghioroc offers an affordable alternative to more expensive tourist destinations. The recreational area spans 105 hectares, with a developed beach of 11,000 square meters, equipped with modern facilities.
