George Simion, the leader of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), has provoked reactions in the public space through a post on platform X regarding the political situation in Hungary and Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

His short message, posted in English – "Viktor Orban has lost the elections in Hungary. What will the future look like?" – received varied reactions from users. One of them commented that the future will be "much better," while another emphasized the importance of the European Union.

According to preliminary results of the elections on April 12, 2026, the opposition party Tisza is expected to gain a two-thirds majority in Parliament, with 138 out of 199 seats, while Orban's Fidesz-KDNP group would have only 55 seats.
