In the coldest night since the beginning of the winter season, several hospitals in Bucharest were without heating.

Due to the failure at CET SUD, hundreds of patients were warmed with the help of air conditioning units or electric heaters.

The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, stated for News.ro that several hospitals under the institution's authority are currently having problems ensuring heating. The most difficult situation is at the CC Iliescu Cardiovascular Diseases Institute in the Capital. In some areas of the hospital, Dr. Alexandru Rogobete says, it is only 16 degrees Celsius.
