GE Vernova has signed a contract for the delivery of wind turbines in Calarasi County, as part of a project of over 250 MW developed by Greenvolt Power. The wind farm will be located in the town of Gurbănești and will include 42 turbines with a capacity of 6.1 MW each. The project is carried out by Greenvolt Power, part of the Portuguese group Greenvolt, controlled by the American fund KKR. The contract includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of the turbines.
Gura Ialomiței Solar, the project company, has obtained subsidies for a capacity of 125 MW, for 15 years, at a price of 64.98 euros per MWh. The company's partners include the Portuguese fund RNVQ FCR and the Romanian group Renovatio. This is the second contract signed by GE Vernova in Romania in the last two months, with deliveries scheduled for next year. The wind farms will create jobs and will produce energy for over 110,000 households.
