A gas leak has been confirmed on Berceni Road in Sector 4, and traffic has been completely restricted.

A gas leak was confirmed on Friday on Berceni Road in Sector 4 of Bucharest, prompting the Traffic Police to completely restrict traffic on the section between Metalurgiei Boulevard and Popești Vest Street. The measures were taken to protect the population and allow the intervention of specialized teams.

Distrigaz Sud Rețele announced that the incident was caused by mechanized excavation works carried out by the company Rețele Electrice România SA. Due to the incident, the natural gas supply was halted in the affected area, impacting 228 customers from Popești-Leordeni. Distrigaz teams are on-site to resolve the issue, and the resumption of supply is estimated for the evening of the same day. Authorities recommend caution and adherence to the instructions of traffic police.
