Fuels have recorded a new price increase on Thursday night, marking the fifth consecutive day of price rises. Standard gasoline has exceeded 9 lei/l in all stations in the Capital, except for Socar stations, while standard diesel is rapidly approaching the threshold of 10 lei/l, already surpassed by premium diesel. OMV Petrom, the market leader, has raised the price of diesel by 15 bani/l and that of gasoline by 10 bani/l, accumulating increases of 80 and 58 bani/l respectively in the last week.
Currently, standard diesel costs between 9.72-9.75 lei/l at Petrom stations and 9.88 lei/l at OMV stations, while standard gasoline is sold for 9.04-9.06 lei/l at Petrom stations and 9.17 lei/l at OMV stations. Socar stations remain the only ones offering gasoline below 9 lei/l. Since the beginning of the war in Iran, standard diesel has increased by almost 1.50 lei/l at Petrom and OMV stations, reflecting global trends of rising prices.
