Former senator Marius Isăilă has been sent to trial by the DNA for the crime of influence peddling, being accused of promising 1 million euros to the Minister of Defense to facilitate the conclusion of contracts between Romtehnica and a private company from Bulgaria. The incident took place on October 9 and 24, 2025, and prosecutors claim that Isăilă acted with the intention of influencing the management of C.N. ROMTEHNICA S.A., a state-owned company.

Additionally, Isăilă is under judicial control after being placed in preventive detention. He has a criminal record, having been previously convicted for other corruption offenses. The case has been sent to the Bucharest Tribunal, with a proposal to maintain the preventive measure. Isăilă was a senator representing PSD Dâmbovița from 2012 to 2016.
