Cristina Trăilă, former deputy secretary general of the Bolojan Government and a lawyer, has been indicted by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) for complicity in using influence or authority for the purpose of obtaining undue benefits, according to judicial sources cited by Gândul, as reported by Mediafax. The first hearing in the case is scheduled for October 28.
The case was investigated by the Iași DNA office and referred to the Bucharest Court of Appeal, the court competent to hear the case given Cristina Trăilă’s status as a lawyer. She is accused of having supported Mihai Barbu’s efforts, between November 3 and 4, 2025, to exert influence over the president of the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA).
According to prosecutors, the aim allegedly was to replace the director of the Vaslui Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Directorate (DSVSA) with a person favored by businessman Fănel Bogos. The effort allegedly sought to obtain benefits for him and his company, including approval of a compensation claim worth approximately three million euros and the reduction or cessation of sanitary-veterinary inspections at the company’s farms.
In the same case, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan was questioned as a witness at the Iași DNA office on October 2. The questioning concerned a meeting he granted to businessman Fănel Bogos. Cristina Trăilă benefits from the presumption of innocence throughout the trial.
