Firefighters from Vâlcea are continuing interventions to extinguish a three-hectare forest fire that was reported on Friday.

The blaze in the Mălaia area was reported on Friday afternoon, and since then fire crews, forestry workers and locals have been working to extinguish the blaze. Although it had rained on Saturday, the logs were still smoking on Sunday morning, which is why the intervention was resumed. ISU Vâlcea officials confirmed that the affected area remains three hectares.
