Five young women have fallen victim to human trafficking, recruited by the 'loverboy' method, which has left them emotionally dependent on their exploiters. They were forced into prostitution both at home and abroad, suffering physical and psychological violence. The authorities seized €144,000 and other goods following searches, and D.I.I.C.O.T. prosecutors detained one person and proposed the remand in custody of four others, three of whom are unaccounted for.
